Admit it – playing with toy guns is fun for kids of all ages, and now, pointing and shooting the barrel of yet another plastic toy gun can actually have a purpose with the BANG! lamp. BitPlay has designed the BANG! – a desk lamp that is activated with a gun-shaped remote control. To turn the light off, point and “shoot” the gun at the lamp. The light will go off and the lampshade will fall to one side as if it’s been “hit”. To turn the light back on, point and “shoot” in the same way, and the process will reverse to re-erect the lamp. The remote works with infrared technology – the dark band around the lamp base is the infrared receiver. The lamp includes a 10-watt LED bulb and 2 AAA batteries. Now you can shoot the lights out, cowboy style, and feel pretty cool while doing it.
