There’s no magic behind these amazing Light-Light lamps, just a whole-bunch of awesome science. The levitating lamps are handcrafted and available in two styles: ‘Silhouette’ and ‘Eclipse’. The top portion of the lamp shade that hosts the light source is not physically attached to the bottom portion of the lamp shade – a phenomenon that is possible thanks to futuristic electromagnetic components and LED lights (which makes this product both cool and energy-wise). The Light Light lamps were designed by Angela Jansen, a Design Academy Eindhoven graduate, and developed by Ger Jansen, a mechanical and electrical engineer.
