Apple’s Rumoured Curved-Glass Wrist Computer

In December, The New York Times reported a small group of people at Apple had been “conceptualizing and even prototyping some wearable devices.” One concept described in the report was a “curved-glass iPod that would wrap around the wrist.” These are mock-ups of the potential design by designer Federico Ciccarese.

Superheroes In Breast Cancer Awareness Ads

These images developed by the Associacao de Luta Contra o Cancer (ALCC) in Mozmbique may at first glance depict iconic superhero women groping their breasts, but once you wake up from whatever sick nerdy dreamland you’re living in, you’ll notice that Wonder Woman, Storm, She-Hulk and Cat Woman are actually conducting self breast exams. The ALCC used these ads during Breast Cancer Awareness month (October) to remind women to check themselves frequently in order to help detect and treat breast cancer before it’s too late. An excerpt from the ad campaign reads as follows:

“When we talk about breast cancer, there’s no women or superwomen. Everybody has to do the self-examination monthly. Fight with us against the enemy and, when in doubt, talk with your doctor”

They can’t be more right. We applaud these ads for their pro-active message, but mores because they are painfully clever and hilarious.
