Steampunk Apartment In New York City
Screen writer Jeremy Noritz’s New York City 1,800 square meter (19,375 square foot) apartment in Chelsea was for sale over the summer for 1.75 million – a steep price for your average dwelling, but likely a steal considering its location and the super-awesome steampunk interior design job that makes this apartment look more like a film set. Some of the unique design features include a submarine-style front door, custom-built cabinetry, steampunk furnishings and suspended illuminated zeppelins. Norritz claims to have found the majority of furnishings and accessories himself from metal foundries and antique shops around the world. We think this apartment design is way over the top, but only in an awesome Jules-Verne-would-love-this-place kind of way.
