Joanne Gair is an artist originally from New Zealand but is commonly referred to as an illusionist. She has traveled all over the world exhibiting her evocative paintings and designs, most of which use the human body as a canvas. Gair’s extensive collection of works feature celebrities like Demi Moore (whose photograph appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair), Heidi Klum, Rebecca Romijn, Dennis Rodman, singer Kelis and more wearing nothing but Gair’s painted-on designs. Gair’s subjects are usually made to blend into a background of the same pattern, or are made to appear as though they are wearing clothing. Whatever the case may be, her work is nothing short of intriguing and utterly tasteful.
