Assembling your own furniture is usually a nightmare, but thanks to IKEA’s signature instructional manuals, life seems easier (or does it)? If you’ve ever tried to assemble a seemingly easy-to-put-together piece of furniture from IKEA, only to find yourself lying on the floor in the fetal position humming your favourite childhood song in a state of disrepair, then you can relate to this post.
Cheers to Caldwell Tanner, Susanna Wolff and Conor McKeon from College Humor for developing these hilarious IKEA how-to assembly instructions for famous Sci-Fi movie inventions. If you’ve ever wanted to build your own Dolorian from Back to the Future, resurrect your very own Dinosaur (Jurassic Park style), build a Star Wars Lightsaber or replicate Dr. Who’s TARDIS machine, you are in luck, although, true to IKEA-style, these instructions may result in elevated blood pressure levels. (And yes, bonus points go to the design team for coming up with wacky IKEA-esque product names).
