The masterminds behind 56th Studio have made us say WHOA! with their hilariously accurate caricature furniture collection. 56th Studio creates and produces quirky designs and cutting-edge graphic works, but all items have a “form-follows-story” mantra. The chairs that made us smile are all based on the popular television series, The Simpsons, and each distinctive feature of the shows characters is exaggerated to produce a single piece of furniture that is easily recognizable. The collection of caricature furniture started as an exploration of minimal illustration and eventually expanded into pieces of furniture. We think the Marge chair would look great in the WHOA! office space…but without the context of the other chairs, Marge would look out of place. Perhaps we have no choice but to have all four? Done.
