Evan Penny is a Toronto-based artist that creates hyper realistic sculptures of people. Although Penny generally produces head-and-shoulders busts that are larger than life in size, his incredible attention to detail can easel fool viewers into thinking the subject matter is real – especially in photographs. Penny implants each hair one strand at a time and includes natural blemishes, age sports and wrinkles on the faces of his sculptural works for added realistic effect. Penny uses silicone, pigment and aluminum to make his hyper realistic sculptures.
