North Wales-based artist, Jessica Lloyd-Jones has created a beautifully surreal collection of blown glass organs illuminated with neon lights. The purpose behind these works is to bring to light (no pun intended) how energy is used by the human body. Neon specialists worked with Lloyd-Jones to help her reach the desired illumination, while blown-glass artists helped her turn her vision into reality. Questioning the boundary between science fiction and fact, much of her artwork investigates a range of subject matter relating to natural phenomena including bioelectricity, bioluminescence, geochemistry and the cosmos.
