There are few words needed to describe this unusual floor rug, but we’ll do our best. Isreali artist, Boaz Arad, designed this rug to show the world how the Holocaust has scarred Israel. He uses the Holocaust to discuss human evil and contemporary Israel, which he says is “…torn and crumbling.” The rug represents what a Nazi hunter would do if he caught up with Hitler, the Nazi party leader. This item was put on display at the Tel Aviv Center for Contemporary Arts in 2007.
A interesting commentary on animal skins and the Holocaust, but really, we’d run in the other direction if we saw this sorry rug in your living room. No joke.
