Israeli industrial designer Yoav Avinoam has created a stool and coffee table made out of recycled saw dust. Sure, this isn’t quite an elaborate collection of furnishings, but quality over quantity is the focus of today’s post, and let us tell you this: sawdust furniture is pretty cool. This collection has been exhibited around the world and has won Avinoam the 2010 Massimo Milano design award. The sawdust waste is taken from different types of woods and is pressed together with resin into mold that contains all of the object parts. The beautiful way the sawdust edges appear to be crumbling add to the unique finish this material offers.
