UK-based artist, Nick Gentry, has created a beautiful collection of portraits painted on a canvas made entirely out of 3 ½” floppy disks. Finally, a good way to use the old hunks of plastic and film, and a creative solution, too! Some of the details of the floppy disks remain in tact and add a visually dynamic element to the works of art – the written labels and different coloured plastic cases are nicely offset with the disks in the background which are painted a solid white. We love when artists reuse useless stuff, and this is no exception, especially because the subjects are the most alluring digital femmes we have seen in a long time.
