If you live in a small, dark, hole of an apartment, you’re in luck! Makoto Hirahara’s Bright Blind simulates a window where none exists. The unit is made of electroluminescent sheets (EL), wood and plastic, and is sure to brighten the room and one’s spirits too. The artificial blind functions just like a “real” set of louvered blinds – you can turn the plastic stick to adjust the brightness. While you can’t buy a great view, you can at least trick your brain into believing your room is getting some sunlight…it’s better than nothing! Custom sizes available upon request.
