Custom Steampunk XBOX Controller

Ever seen a Steampunk XBOX Controller? Us neither, but we’re glad we have finally been introduced to such an awesome XBOX Controller thanks to the Steampunkstore.net. This unique gem was apparently listed on eBay and sarted off with a US$10 bid, eventually selling for US$340. The buttons were taken from a 1940′s Woodstock typewriter. The seller tarnished the original controller finish by hand in order to make it look old and then proceeded to disassemble the pieces and clean the plastics with a soft toothbrush and soap before the controller was sanded and hand painted to resemble real wood on the front casing. The bumpers were painted to resemble antique brass, and the back casing was painted to look like aged steel. The best part? The controller actually functions like a regular XBOX Controller should. The seller, whom we can only refer to as “trioxin_kustoms” as per his Ebay handle, admits to having tested it for a couple of hours to ensure it’s functionality.

Needless to say, we’re impressed!
