Strapping a water bottle to a bicycle frame is soooo last year. Now, all the cool kids are using this handmade leather bicycle wine rack for sale through Etsy shop, “oopsmark“. This Canadian-based company is run by designer, engineer, entrepreneur, musician and jack-of-many-trades, Jesse Herbert. Herbert makes and sells “Tools for Urban Living”, and this particular tool is a keeper in our books. The leather straps attach to any 1″ bike frame with antique brass fasteners while the hidden clamping mechanism holds the bottle securely. The vegetable-tanned leather (available in tan, black and brown colours) is treated with olive oil and will only look better as it continues to age. Unfortunately, you’ll have to check with your local laws on whether or not it’s permitted to travel around with a bottle of booze in plain sight. We’re pretty sure that it’s okay in most places to travel with the bottle in view, but you better finish it all if you plan to re-cork and carry the remaining liquor back to your place of origin (traveling with open liquor is illegal in most places in Canada). But anyways, sorry to be such party poopers – the goal is to get one of these babies to a liberal-minded and “fun” city. Like anywhere in Europe.
