Artist Anna Utopia Giordano has designed a series of boozy baby bottles that made us say WHOA! These whiskey, vodka, gin and rum bottle designs that parody children’s toy brands are part of an art exhibition, and are not for sale. Is the artists suggesting that the toy brands have similar addictive qualities as hard liquor? Perhaps. The Pop Bottles slogan is “Parents, please, feed your kids responsibly”, which obviously means that the artist does not condone giving alcohol to babies (whew!), quite the contrary – she is trying to raise awareness about what kids are given to eat and drink, and the way these decisions affect childrens’ health. Giordano wants to bring awareness to how far marketers can go to gain the attention of their younger customers. Bravo, Giordano. (p.s. we really want to drink rum out of a bottle nipple. Is that weird?).
