Beautiful Self-referencial Star Wars Portraits

The Official Star Wars blog has shared some of the posters that advertised the Star Wars Identities exhibit in Montreal, Canada. The exhibit explored the theme of personal identity in the characters that inhabit the Star Wars universe and encouraged visitors to reflect on themselves as well. The marquee image – an inkblot illustration of Darth Vadar – captivated readers instantly upon its public release. We love the image for the creativity it exudes and the obvious design sense notable in the layout. Canadian ad agency Bleublancrouge was one of three companies that make up X3 Productions (the exhibit’s licensee) had created these character portraits for the exhibit opening. The illustrations draw inspiration from each character’s individuality (or “the force that shapes us”) and what it is that makes the characters unique or the things/events in their lives that shaped them along the way.
