Silhoutte art has a certain nostalgic beauty to it and these baby rattles made from extrapolated adult silhouettes are equally as beautiful. New York designer Russell Greenberg of RUX Design came up with this concept following the birth of his first child. The ends of the baby rattles are shaped like the silhouette profiles of mom and dad. The maple-wood toy is carved on a lathe using photos of the parents as a guide, and finished by hand in Long Island, New York. The rattles will look like yet another toy in the tots’ eyes, but will surely make for a special keepsake one day.
