The Aquaskipper designed by Inventist is a lightweight watercraft designed to offer users a great workout while they are hopping and skimming above the water surface at a top speed of17mph. The Aquaskipper features a fiberglass spring that is responsible for the gentle bobbing and bouncing on the water’s surface while the hydrofoil wings have very little drag in the water. We think the Aquaskipper looks like a pantload of fun – perfect for visits to the cottage, lake or beach. The one drawback is how potentially ridiculous one may appear as he or she bobs and skips along the water surface, but since the Aquaskipper does not have an engine and will not produce any air or water pollution, we cannot fault it. It appears as though the momentum required to propel the Aquaskipper forward is generated by the user (hence the “workout” one can hope to achieve). When not in use, the Aquaskipper can be stored in an easy carrying tote, and since it only weights 26 lbs (and measures 7 by 6 feet large fully assembled) it seems easy enough to carry. Would you try something like this? It kinda looks like fun!
