Where can you expect to find a life-sized tiger sculpture made entirely out of LEGO blocks? At the Bronx Zoo, of course. Or, at least you could have in 2011 when the LEGO Master Builders designed and built several animals that were installed at the Bronx Zoo in New York. Each animal sculpture was displayed within a natural set to resemble the creature’s natural habitat (or at least the zoo-designed habitat). The project aimed to bring awareness to the Wildlife Conservation Society. We love the pixelated effect the LEGO material has created – after all, it’s not every day that you get to see a 6 foot tall pixelated giraffe, right?
