Ever wonder what the palette of history’s most influential painters might look like? Us neither, but we were happy to stumble upon some photographs of what we’re hoping actually ARE the real life wood palettes of masters like Gaugin, Degas and Delacroix. The remnants of pigment blobs on each palette can give present-day researchers a lot of insight to the painting methods of the masters.
