A Funky Digital Frame Only For Instagram Pics

The word on the street, in case you haven’t heard, is that Istagram rocks. However, we’re sad that we can’t save or print our instagram pics as easily as some other digital files, so when we heard about the Instacube, we were super happy. The Instacube is virtually a digital frame, but cooler. The Instacube aims to “liberate Instagram photos from your smart device but feeding your favourite images wirelessly at 3x the size.” Finally – we can enlargen our favourite pics without compromising quality, and show off our awesome filter-selecting-skills by displaying our images for everyone to see. The only kicker (get it? You will soon…) is that the Instacube is still in the development stages. It is only a concept in the bright minds of the D2M (Design to Matter) team from Silicon Valley, CA, but after surpassing a goal of $250,000 on Kickstarter with $400,000+ of funding, we’re hoping this product hits the market soon.

Multiple users can push photos to a single Instacube, making it even more delightful to enjoy yours and others Instagram photos in large format. The device itself is available in three different colourways at the moment – one that boats the Instagram logo stripes on the frame and in all black and all white.

How it Works.
Log into your Instagram account using the touch screen keyboard, and bam! You’re up and running. Photos from your Instagram feed will start pushing to Instagram immediately. Use the Toggle button at the top of Instacube to switch between viewing your own photos, the photos of your friends, and the “popular” feed.

We love the idea of attending a party with an Instacube on the premises – imagine enjoying a party AND checking out everyone else’s photos of the night as they happen. Now that would be cool. And with a 600×600 LCD touch screen display, you won’t have to squint your tipsy eyeballs to see the tiny images on your iPhone. The Instacube runs on an internal Lithium ion battery, making it cable-free and completely mobile.
