Photographer Ray Massey has captured these beautiful painted hands that depict unlikely subject matter through the use of human hands and body paint. Massey is known for his publication works, both personal and commercial. In this case, the hands were painted by body painter Annie Ralli (not Massey himself), and used for an ad campaign for Ecclesiastical insurance company for the “You’re In Good Hands” campaign that featured eight images in total. The concept behind the campaign is quite clever – watch the video above for more information.
Massey’s his clear and poignant photography plays an integral role in the overall effectiveness of the imagery. We love the soccer player hands. And we can’t help but wonder what it the hand model must feel like having to pose in a stationary position for an extended period while the paint is applied, and then while the photographs were taken. Ouch. Seems like a hand cramp would be inevitable. Either way, the final products are so much fun, we’re glad to share them with you, dear reader.
